Tamsin Lees BSC MCSP HCPC AACP BAHT
Tamsin Lees is a specialist Physiotherapist working in the field of Hand Therapy. She is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, The British Association of Hand Therapy and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. She completed a post graduate degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Manchester and has over ten years of experience working in the specialism of Hand Therapy at some of London’s most highly recognised hospitals.
Tamsin currently holds a senior therapist role within the Hand Therapy service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and prior to this worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She has gained extensive experience in the treatment of complex hand and upper limb trauma, complex wrist injuries, chronic hand conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Dupuytrens disease and complex rheumatology. By working closely with Orthopaedic and Plastic Hand Consultants, Tamsin has excellent links and communication within the field of Hand Therapy.
Tamsin has in-depth knowledge of the anatomy of the upper limb and ensures she keeps up to date with current evidence based practice to ensure she provides excellent care to her patients. She has high level treatment skills for Hand the wrist injuries including splinting, manual therapy, exercise therapy and acupuncture.
During her NHS job Tamsin is involved in many different projects to help develop the Hand Therapy specialism and the quality of care provided to patients. She is also involved in the Training and support of junior colleagues.
Tamsin is extremely passionate about her role as a Hand Therapist and about delivering the best possible care to her patients, helping them to regain optimal recovery of their hand injury or condition.
